Why did you decide to change things up?
After realizing that hosting tryouts every season became redundant, with most of our players staying loyal to our program, we wanted to change how we were running them. That is why we are going into this season with a different style but same intention of building better athletes. We are using this training to train and encourage all levels of young basketball athletes while choosing select players for the gaps we need to fill in our AAU teams.
Is this a tryout or a clinic?
Both. We are opening this training to all in order to promote basketball skill building for young athletes. During the clinic, our AAU coaching staff will evaluate the players in attempt to fill some spots on several of our teams.
Is it $25 per session?
No! It is $25 for all 4 days of training. This means 12 hours of skill building for only $25!
How will the assessment be ran?
Athletes will be broken into 2 age divisions; 9-11 and 12-16. They will then be taught basketball skills based on their ability that they can take home. While the training program is running, the coaches will be scouting the courts for potential AAU players for Spring 2018.
What if my athlete is selected during this program?
Athletes that are selected for further evaluation will be invited to a private workout with their age group. We will then decide if they are going to be invited to play for one of our AAU teams.
If they are selected to play with your AAU team, when does the season start?
AAU Practices start in the end of February. The season starts in March and runs until the end of May.
How many tournaments are in one season?
We have 5 AAU tournaments scheduled for this season.
How much does your AAU program cost? What does it include?
This Spring 2018 AAU program is $550 per player. This includes all tournament expenses, free drop ins (when available) during the season, 2 team practices a week, Yoga class once a week, Speed and Conditioning once a week and Explosion Training once a week.
