Each of our trainers have their own personal style of coaching. The unity in each of their styles lies in the common goal to help each player defy their limits. With our training programs and leagues, our athletes work closely with our coaches creating a special, motivational bond.

Rudy Charles

Specializations

Coach Charles comes with the wealth of basketball knowledge and experience. He has traveled the country because of the game of basketball and is ready to share his knowledge with our kids.

Rudy Charles is a Goshen native, that was recruited by one of the top High Schools on the west coast because of his play on the nation’s number 1 ranked Nike AAU Team (Kansas City 76er’s). After his time in Las Vegas, he than played for the Houston Jaguars and they became the top ranked Nike Team. Because of his play, he received a full scholarship to a nationally ranked prep school in Connecticut. Prep school was a great experience for Charles and he was able to receive a full athletic scholarship to Eastern New Mexico University.  As a freshman, Coach Charles received honorable mention all conference, Freshman of the Year and lead his team in scoring, assists, and rebounding.

Coach Charles has Head Coaching experience at both the modified and high school level. He has been running camps, clinics and personal trainings all over state.

Bill Lewis

Bill is a Middletown native. He attended Middletown High School and played basketball there as well. He has worked for Middletown Recreation department for 12 years. There he ran basketball clinics and coached youth basketball teams. Bill is also a Personal Trainer; specializing in: shooting, ball handling, low post moves, gaining strength, power and explosion. He has worked out with and trained division 1, 2, and 3 athletes. He has also worked out and trained local professional athletes, such as John Merchant III, Terric Harris, Stefan Bonneau, that played in Italy, Canada, Finland, China and Peru.

Andy Mink

Specializations
Volleyball

Previous to assisting Minisink Valley’s volleyball program to a Section 9 Championship in 2016 he served as the Head Coach for St. Michael’s Division II Women’s Volleyball Program from 2011-2014.  He was a women’s assistant coach in the 2010- 2011 season at Division III State University of New York at Plattsburgh and also founded the northern New York-based Northern Impact Volleyball Club. He previously guided the Siena College men’s volleyball club team during the 2009-10 school year after serving as the head coach of both the men’s and women’s club teams at the State University of New York at Oswego between 2007 and 2009.

In addition to his coaching experience he has served as an official in two regions of NYS while gaining experience as a USA Volleyball High Performance clinician.  Mink has earned three coaching accreditations from USA Volleyball, including completing the Coaching Accreditation Program (CAP) Level II program. He was previously a junior varsity boys’ coach at Shaker (N.Y.) High School and a junior varsity girls’ coach at Guilderland (N.Y.) Central High School and was a head coach for the 518 Volleyball Club, which won regional championships at various age levels for three consecutive years during his tenure. Mink also coached youth level girls through numerous clubs in Albany and has worked as a camp instructor for the Greater New York YMCA Camp’s World Volleyball Training Center.

Mink has remained active on the playing circuit, both in indoor and outdoor settings and at the national USA Volleyball Adult Open Championships. He finished as high as seventh at the 2016 tournament in Orlando, FL. Mink has also secured victories in outdoor grass and sand tournaments.
