Speed Academy is a strength and conditioning program designed to teach young athletes three aspects of sports: develop and increase sports skill, teach proper biomechanics, and reduce the risk of injury. Through bi-monthly testing, athletes will be able to assess and measure their progress in order to be able to see what areas will need more improvements. Athletes will go through a variety of drills and workouts in order to be at their best come game day.

Isaiah “Coach Zay” comes to East Coast Athletics with 5 years of sports performance experience. While achieving his Associates in Science from Dutchess Community College in Exercise Science in 2017, he interned for 3 years with 299 Sports and Performance in New Paltz, NY. From there he interned for one year with Huguenot Strength and Conditioning in New Paltz, NY and was later hired as a Coach for 1.5 years. He has also interned with Marist College Strength and Conditioning program for two semesters training football, men’s and women’s lacrosse, men’s soccer, women’s volleyball and men’s and women’s basketball teams. He has trained as a certified personal trainer since 2016 and has worked for Sportsplex New Windsor in New Windsor, NY as well as Equinox Scarsdale in Scarsdale, NY.
